OVERVIEW
The Michelin XPS RIB is a highway terrain， summer tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicles trailer axle. This model also has some trailer sizes， which are manufactured for SPECIAL TRAILER USE ONLY and they should not be mounted on light trucks.
The model offers excellent summer weather traction. This is achieved with the treads symmetric ribbed pattern， with the detailed siping pattern， and the summer weather compound. The compound offers great traction in dry and wet weather， but it does not maintain its flexibility in colder temperatures. The tread design with the siping detail firmly grips the road surface during the tires performance. The zigzag circumferential grooves increase the hydroplaning resistance by increasing the water dispersing capability and power. The better summer traction and hydroplaning resistance ensure a secure driving experience.
The tire promotes an increased tread life. The ribbed tread design and the wear-resistant durable compound work together to increase the tires usability. The compounds wear-resistance extends the tread life by slowing the tread wear rate down significantly. The symmetric ribbed pattern upgrades the tires tread life. The constant road contact evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration， cornering and braking avoids uneven tread wear on the tires surface. The slower even tread wear rate guarantees a longer lasting service life.
The XPS RIB features a stronger construction. The reinforced steel belt structure and the special durable sidewall protector guard the tire from damage. The sidewall protector resists curb and impact damage from harming the sidewalls during the tires performance. The steel belt construction maintains the tires performance throughout its drive. It upgrades the load carrying and handling capability by optimizing the tires shape against the driving and load pressure affecting it. This structure also helps resist punctures from shortening the tires service life， which significantly boost the driving durability.
